By that time, we were getting weary of BC and the heat. Knowing that there was cooler air on the other side of the mountains, we pressed on, determined to cross the border. But on the way, we saw a sign, advertizing “the Biggest Truck in the World!” and we just couldn’t resist.
Despite all the delays, we DID manage to reach the border that night – a momentous occasion, after three days in BC! We slept near the border, on an old sideroad that looked like it was in the middle of nowhere, but in reality was overlooking the town of Crowsnest Pass. But it was gloriously cool. It was so nice to feel cold again, we slept with the back hatch open.
Alberta, at last!
