John and his friends
Must remember to download camera...
John and I went to our local Early Years Centre yesterday. WOW!!! Is it ever cool! They took us on a tour, and showed us all the places he'll be able to play once he's up and running - he's gong t have a blast! They have this HUGE gym filled with things like tunnels, that he can crawl through and climb on. They have a pool with a slide that's completely free until he turns seven. They have a science station, and an outdoor playground. All pretty cool stuff. I signed us up for the Baby Mother Goose program. SO not my thing, but everyone says to do it, so we're doing it, starting in the new year. The ladies there said he's "unusually attentive" so I guess it's unfair to keep him with just me to entertain him - he needs a little more excitement in his life to keep those neurons firing.
John has figured out how to make an "L" sound with his tounge, and has been practicing. He's also very good at "G" - he's known that one for a while, as well as "B." He goesn't to the whole "gaga" type thing yet, but the extra sounds definitely keep the conversation more fun. He's also getting really good at pulling himself up by holding my thumbs, over and over and over and over. Who says babies have a short attention span? I sure couldn't do the same thing that many times in a row and still be excited about it. Also - he grabbed a toy while sitting up for the first time!!!
