Mmmm....I love the blueberry stuck on his teeth.
Blueberries are a hit! Good thing - I made lots. I'm anxiously awaiting his first blue poop. I keep checking, but it hasn't arrived yet. Forget the movies - forget going to dinner - coloured poop is the best entertainment in town. Don't worry - I won't post a picture.
My Mom and Dad headed back home yesterday. It was sad to see them go - most people have family around all the time, and I can see how that would make having kids more enjoyable. Not that John's not enjoyable - it just gets lonely down here, when none of our friends have, and many don't even want, kids. It's nice to have people around who are as excited about him as we are.
Still regretting not flying home when John was first born - I'm back to work in four months, it doesn't look like Mike will have a chance to go, and he won't let us go without him, now that John is more fun to be around. He's already feeling a little shafted that John is going through what he calls a "Mom phase." I'm the preferred parent right now - even when Mike holds him, he still watches me. He's nervous that if he's not around every day, John might forget about him.
I forgot to mention - I had John weighed at our last Parentlink class. Nearly 21 pounds, though that was fully clothed.

Keep those pictures coming Meg. It's hard to imagine him weighing so much, but he was a solid guy when I saw him last.
While pushing buttons this morning I ended up with a website of a girl in the tropics. It reminded me of my visit to the Pilippines - of course I scrolled down the pages - didn't know the people but loved the house with mostly glass walls in the tropics.
I'm still feeling great. Sue my cleaning lady has been in the basement for a couple of hours & I cudn't resist had to dig right in. While jumping on plastic stuff to reduce the size, landed flat on my ass, with a bruise at the base of my thumb. Guess I'll never learn to do things gently.
I've been working more shifts at the hostpital gift shop & the highlight of last night was the pilot of the hellicopter with friend who bought munchies on their way. I got a chuckle from one of them when I said "drive carefully". He told me that they only take patients out of here. As everything is kinda hushhush I didn't persue the conversation. I'm sure with practice I'll be as nosey as could be. Of course Mac treats the hospital like home.
I promised him a walk but it's -19 with the windchill factor, so I'm procrastinating.
Oh yes Meg - as hard as I try I've not been able to bring up the pictures. I got the whole page which was not what I wanted. Help!!
Have a nice day

Try clicking the photo with the right-hand button of the mouse - your get a bunch of options, and you can download just the photo. On my computer, I can click on it with the left button, and just the photo will open in a new window.
Gotta run - we're going for dinner at Jer's. I left John and Mike napping together upstairs while I get everything ready to go. Even the cats have joined them - I've got the whole family curled up together in one bed.
