We have a doctor! Turns out they really DO have a serious doctor shortage here after all. But we got one, because of Joan's condition - his receptionist agreed we needed one urgently, so let us through.
He's an older guy, but he seems good. He's getting everything underway for us. He's a bit disgusted she wasn't sent to a cardiologist, but she's being sent to one here. They have a special stroke clinic, with a pediatric specialist on board, so they'll do the MRI. They also have a pediatric cardiology clinic here, so he's trying to get her there for an ECG. He said it's best to do everything through the children's hospital, because they know more about these conditions in little kids, so that's where he's trying to get her in. He didn't know much about the physio clinic, so he called the children's hospital while I was there, to find out how to get her in, and they said they'll take her. So now it's just a big transfer of files, and getting everything set up again. A huge, huge relief!
Anyway, better go. He said we'll know about timelines in about a week.

Happy for you gal. She's such a happy little girl we don't want to slow her down.We're in a heat wave to-day it's actually 3 degrees. My sister-in-law says it's -40 in Edmonton so guess it will come our way next week. Just did the library coming home with 13 books, so the housework takes a backseat as always. Don't remember if I said thankyou for the housecoat & books. My aunt Dorothy got her pick of the books so you made another old lady happy at the same time.The orchids & african violets beside my computer are blooming like crazy.Mac & I walked as we left the library & a vehicle went by followed by an OPP with lights flashing. Probably a drug bust as they pick them up beside the schools on a regular basis.Cleaned the furnace this a.m., lugged the hot ashes out to the snowbank & the blower on the furnace went for a long time. I juggled a few things which stopped it, happy day as repair guys are hard to find. Love always - Gram
hi gram! yes - -38 last night, without the windchill! Thank you very much for your presents, too. The $200 came in very, very handy for gas. I don't know if Bruce told you John's reaction to your gift - he opened it, and when we asked what it was, he said "it's everything I need!" It was really cute!
