Welcome to David Glenn Walchuk! He's looking a little dopey right here - just about ready for nap 20 of the day. He was born five days late, at 1 .m. on September 25, weighing in at 8 pounds, 6 and 3/4 ounces, and measuring just over 20 inches long.
John and Dave. John was worried he was going to hurt him.
My mom with Dave. My parents were here for the birth and a couple days after. Unfortunately, they didn't get much Dave time, before they had to head home to work.
My parents, with the whole brood, just before heading home to Ontario. The kids really enjoyed their visit, and so did we. It was a huge, huge help to have them here. Hopefully, they didn't find our kids TOO annoying.
Things are going well so far. He's an eating machine. I'm trying to not let it bug me, by reminding myself that his stomache is the size of a chickpea. It just seems like a cruel joke from Mother Nature that it takes him the better part of an hour to FILL his stomach - and all of five minutes to empty it again. It was better today, now that my milk is in. It's keeping him a little more sedate. But last night was rough!
Well, I shouldn't post much now. I hear kids screaming upstairs, and Dave is bound to wake up again. Mike is home to help me out until Thursday, which is nice. I'll post more as we go!

Oh what lov-er-ly pictures! We're already having the 'what colour is the hair' debate. Billy is going for red, I'm hoping for dirty-blond. With my lucky Billy will be right (as he is most of the time).
I wish we were closer and had a car, but such is life when money rules the world I guess. I hope that you can get some rest with so many pepole under your roof!!!
Looks like yet another red-head to these old eyes. Wow - three in a row 8 pounds plus. Hope we can make it there before the snow flies.
Love to All - Paw in Law (Maw in Law too)
Got home fine. Such a quiet trip back ...kept wanting to point out the construction and the trains, etc to John. Had a great time, although the one night in the hotel...wow. A real bed, instead of the bouncy air mattress! And the sleeping bags! Happy to get out of that caccoon! Had forgotten how shaped they were!
But BOY did we goof! No picture of the five...count'em, five...of you in a picture!!!! Not too with it in the mornings.
Went into Wolsely to see their suspension bridge. The house we went through has now been renovated and is back on the market. Was $79500 - now over $200,000 in a little wee town in Sask!!! Others sold in high 180's, etc. Who would guess.
Talk later. I'm beat and work in the morning. Ugh! Mom
Congrats on the new addition to your family! Saw the pics on Facebook a couple of days ago. Enjoy the sweet days of having a newborn in the house. The scents, the super-soft feeling of his skin, his cuddly body next to yours -it sure is a great time!
Will hang around and check for furter updates :o)
